Just what is this PodCasting everyone's talking about?
PodCasting was created by Apple Computer to create a unique and easy way for people to share audio and video files on a determined schedule. For example, using a PodCast you configure your computer to automatically watch for updated sermons from Riverland Hills and automatically download them to your computer. You can then listen to them on your computer or transfer them to a portable player such as an iPod. Or, you can make an audio cd on your computer to listen to in the car or at work.

What do I need to use PodCasting?
All you will need is the free iTunes software that is available for Windows and Macintosh computers. You can download the iTunes software here. Once you've downloaded and installed the software simply return to the Riverland Hills site and click on the "PodCast Listen Now" button and it will take you to the Podcast in iTunes where you can "subscribe" to the weekly sermons. Just click on the gray "subscribe" button for the Riverland Hills podcast for iTunes to have iTunes check each week for new sermons!

To setup iTunes software manually follow these directions

• Make sure you have iTunes 4.9 or later installed on your system
• Launch iTunes and go to the Advanced Menu
• Select Subscribe to Podcast
• Copy and paste the Podcast URL below into the URL area of the 'Subscribe to Podcast' window:
  
  http://www.riverlandhills.org/podcast/rhpodcast.xml
  
• Now the Sermons should be located in the Podcast area (look in the source area between the Library Icon and Party Shuffle)
• Select Preferences from the iTunes menu
• Choose Podcasts from the Preferences window
• Set the rules for when to check for new Podcasts, which ones to copy to your iPod, etc.
