Our Music Ministry is designed to give everyone an opportunity to participate, by means of music, in God’s work through our church. Organized musical groups exist for ages 3 through Sr. Adult including choral, instrumental, solo, drama, ensemble, and handbell ministries. We take seriously the pursuit of excellent music for our perfect Lord.

Music at Riverland Hills Baptist Church stirs our hearts, stimulates our minds, and motivates our feet for Christian living. If you live in the greater Columbia area and are looking to add an exciting dimension to your spiritual life, then we invite you to join us in our mission to lift high the name of Jesus through music! Save the Date!

The 500 member University Choir and Orchestra from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California will present a FREE CONCERT Friday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Worship Center at Riverland Hills. They are dynamic, exciting, and worshipful. They sing a solid mix of hymn arrangements and more popular choruses. The whole family will enjoy this!

UCO has also presented two NBC Christmas specials, three sold-out concerts at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Accolades include: the Dove Award for their musical recording Exaltation and a Grammy nomination for the Gospel recording Amen with the Cincinnati POPS! Orchestra in 1990.

  We invite you to visit our next choir rehearsal – Wednesdays at 6:45pm. Try us out—we know you’ll be blessed and have a great experience. Maybe God is leading you to join us in ministry.The choir is a family. We love to laugh, sing, and fellowship together. It is an exciting ministry to be a part of because the Lord continually blesses us and uses us to accomplish incredible things. Most of all, it is a calling; a delightful calling and sense of purpose for our lives as believers in Christ.If I can help you feel more comfortable about choir, answer any questions, or help you in any way, please contact us.

CHILDREN'S CHOIR AND HANDBELLS (Resumes on August 28, 2013)

WANTED!! Children who will be 3 years old by September 1st, and all 1st through 6th graders—for choir and missions!
WHY? So you can fulfill what God wants you to do by worshipping Him with music and by learning to tell others about His love.
WHEN: August 29th—registration will be 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the main hallway near the Fellowship Hall. After supper, children are invited to enroll for children’s choirs, find their choir room, and participate in fun games in different rooms. Parents will remain with children this night.
DON’T FORGET: We also have handbells for children. Tone chimes meets every Wednesday from 4:30-5:00 p.m. (grades 2-3). The Handbell group meets every Wednesday from 4:30 until 5:15 (grades 4-6)

YOUTH CHOIR (Resumes on Sunday, September 8, 2013)

We invite all students grades 7th-12th, to join us in the choir room from 4:30-5:30 p.m. each Sunday. Bring your friends – church membership is not required. See us on Facebook “RHBC YOUTH CHOIR”.

Music Ministry Studios
Musical talent is truly a gift from God. Riverland Hills Baptist Church has a long tradition of instilling musical excellence in our orchestral and choral students, preparing them for a lifelong appreciation of church music.

Music Ministry Studios is a program through which church members and members of the community are invited to take private music lessons with Christian teachers highly qualified in their areas of expertise. Classes are offered in piano, voice, organ, percussion, guitar and other musical instruments.
